Hah you reported him cuz he beat you down in tells? looks like it...Id have to be one of the hardest smack talkers if they get into with me- they lose in action and incite..Grammar, mama jokes and Age all count as loss for most part, and they always say something that will make you turn off the AFK insta-gtfo button to make you speak..no ignore no report nothing - makes ya look weak if you give in like that. PKd so many ppl....but the guy who took the prize was Crabs...dont get near em ya get infested even with immortal immunity. Whats the deal with keeping your Lifetaps so far apart? Keep the instas closer together! Could never efficiently kill 4+ mobs like that Id be hurting in PvP with that setup hehe you do alot of mousing around and the fear is like wayy out there..no matter really, we all have our own sense of order & priority..the mini bar on that UI is nice though..

Core UI is too bulky tho...looks more futuristic or w/e I like the older more befitting look of boxed...could envision a nice necro UI though..like with the diablo style but more sharp edges and evil look- red and black in most areas with a sort of imagery leaning toward a bat-looking style or maybe with a few lines in referencia to like a tibia or bones heh...you can be the most creative person in the world, but it takes the manual skills to put it to action

Necros are very hit and miss in PvP, depending on who opens the fight. Some of what I say will be obvious to some of you, but I'll steer clear of what I figure most know. Previous strats are about to change with the new patch effecting invis.

This fact has been posted on these forums before, but some of you may not have picked up on it. All of our minions suck, especially the Guardian right???? WRONG!!!! Guardian minions cause your attacker to target them once they hit you and this gains you valuable time, making your attacker have to retarget you or kill the guardians first. Test this and you'll see.

All of you rely on your pet obviously, but do you have a macro set to hit all graft abilities in addition to Death Incarnate? If you haven't its a must. You don't always need to open with it unless its a fellow caster. Save it against healers and tanks. Also, while your pet is doing its job, you need to move around and look for geographical cover to break line of site. Find a tree, a rock, ANYTHING and use it. If they turn their attention to your pet, recall it back to you and treat it like a yo-yo.

I try to steer clear of using any of the long cast spells we have (we have too many) unless I get the jump. They simply leave you vulnerable far too long and are only truly useful when you can kite. However, use Spectre's Touch against any healing class. This spell is simply a must to get off and you can usually afford to use it since most (except hayatet shammies and bloodmages) healers will not be able to burst damage you. Also, Despoiling Blight is something that is a luxury to get off. I've yet to see it be a huge difference maker and it takes too much time. Against healers, sure. If you're a Wraith, use Shadowfeast because its going to damage them for about as much as Bone Chill. However, due to pathetic Con to HP returns, you're really not benefitting that much from it other than the direct damage it does. Sealed Fate? Sure, if its up. Its the guarantee that they're going to end up alongside you at the altar probably.

Poison Burst is your friend if you need more Direct Damage and your target(s) are close enough.

Counterspell, Counterspell, Counterspell. Its simply a must and I can't/won't go into all of the scenarios of when to use it against whom, but simply; be intuitive. I cannot believe that many casters do not use this more often. Make a macro for this: "/cancel ability then /cast Annul Magic" This is a must.

Don't use Corruption when you know you're going to be fighting. You cannot afford the HP loss. However, CONTROL CLICK ON YOUR TARGET, if they're melee especially, AND CAST IT ON THEM. Maybe this is an exploit, but its pretty useful.

3rd attribute for me is Constitution. I know that Con returns suck. I don't care. I want all the HP I can get. Vitality in PvP, except for the very slight speed boost, means jack.

Gear. Resists are supposedly about to become more useful, so maybe it will be worth it to seek out resist/absorb items. You want SDF gear to keep you up to level cap. Int second. Spell Crit/Haste is a great bonus. I know Int is important, but you can't hit the Int cap as easily as you can hit the SDF cap. Take the 20% bonus from capped SDF then work on Int. GET THE PANTHER MASK.

I like the necro a lot for PvP, but we're sorely stretched due to the cast time of the majority of our spells. Our ability to mezz is a joke compared to most of the other classes with this ability. Roughly 5 seconds to make this happen. Spectre's Touch has a recast, so why does it need to be a 6 second cast? There needs to be balance for Liches so that we see more of them on Tharridon. Why make one when all of your favorable spells are the long casts and the lack of a damage rune? Liches would be interesting if they could make use of medium armor IMO.

The only disrespect I have for Lifebane & the other 'moderators' is that they are on a wretched PVE server, unsupportive of the true servers! Ya-let me & the Tharridon Liches handle the PvP! Had a duel with a lvl 50 cleric last night, and I don't know what happened, but I guess he must have been fooling around, since I managed to beat the guy (I'm lvl 46). And this was my first duel since duelling with my guildies when we were all low level.

What I did was basically this:

1. Set pet to defend, activate grafts and DI
2. Cast Soul Blight
3. Cast Devouring Shadows
4. Cast Torment
5. Cast Dark Rebuke

It all went down very fast, so I'm not sure what really happened *lol*.

I think what happened at first was that when he tried to attack me, my pet stepped in and somehow managed to make him shift target from me to my pet. Pet hit him with his DI boosted grafts.

After that he killed my pet rather quickly, but in the meantime I had landed DS, Torment and at least two DR. The fight lasted about 20-30 seconds.

So, I got lucky, right?

I'm lvl 49, and i just brutally owned every level 50 in my guild (that was online). I stood still , did my spells.. ranger was a joke, DK i just had to step back whenever he shadow stepped me, and cleric was a long long even fight (i decided to despawn my pet to give her a chance.. i almost died).
I really didn't even kite them at all, stood there, took the beating from the cleric, ranger, and DK .. coulda kited them to take no damage what so ever, but why not make it a fair fight.. they can't kite me after all..

I'm curious how you beat a ranger with a decent bow doing way over 1K damage per shot. Can't short-distance him either as he keeps interrupting any spell with longer than a second cast time.
