The following two updates will be going live with the next server restart: Adventuring Kill Experience Update Experience rates for killing NPCs have been increased significantly. The experience changes start as a small amount at low levels and scale up to a large amount in the early twenties. From then on, the increase remains fixed. GAMEPLAY NOTES - Disenchant – All abilities that remove Enchantments from opponents (including – Strip Enchantment, Asilam’s Disenchanting Cry, Despoil and Disenchant) now have a tool tip description that states their effectiveness levels.

Greetings my fellow necromancers of Telon. I was toiling late into the evening this past moon writing down with more detail my experiences while seeking my Undead Form. The previous writings I had on the matter were detailed enough for many to follow but it was not quite what I would have been satisfied with. GAMEPLAY NOTES - The Khal teleport-in location has moved off the docks. The teleport-out location has not changed. - Ranged damage over time abilities had a bug causing them do almost no damage. This has been fixed. - A rounding bug with ability tooltips was found and fixed. Greetings fellow necromancers of Telon. It is with some sense of pride I report to you all that we have surpassed 500 registered users and 5,000 posts. This all within the first 1.5 months of our existance. REMINDER - Adventuring Sphere experience has been doubled on the test server. This is permanent. - Crafting Sphere experience will be tripled through this weekend (ending Monday) on the test server.

VGNECRO EXCLUSIVE! OMG! Vgnecro.com was able to pull Avair (aka Michael Mann, Sigil Game Designer Supreme) away from his busy schedule long enough to answer some very necro questions that our community had been focusing on. Greetings once again. I have been busy toiling in the spell section and updating a bit of it based on recent changes in the world of Telon. The biggest tweaks were made to our various finisher spell lines. Those three spell lines: Shadow Feast, Sealed Fate, and the new Bone Chill line have all been organized under their own category, Finishers. Greetings my dark brothers and sisters of the necromancer community; the air brings a new chill recently. I dare say a cold that chills you to the bone. Then again I could just say it gives us a Bone Chill... fine, fine.. Enough with the vain attempt at humor. Bone Chill... we got it! What is it?

Vanguard Build 1765 Patch Notes 2/28/2007 – TEST SERVER
Welcome to the Test Server!
While it may not be for everyone, playing on the Test server can be a lot of fun. Things will break, there will be no CS support and your character is never truly ‘safe’. However, you will also get a chance to directly affect the game by helping work out new systems and features before they are finalized for the rest of the live servers.

Greetings fellow necromancers. It seems that the much anticipated new content patch will be held off for an extra day. For those not in the know, this Patch is the first content patch to introduce new content as well as graphics for npcs and items... consider it a mini expansion. Greetings fellow necromancers, Do you smell change in the winds? I do. Vanguard recently announced that on March 6th the weekly patch would be considerably larger than normal. This is because they are adding in additional content, graphics, and creature models Additionally they have revamped to one degree or another various already existing dungeons. Lighting changes will make some of the darker dungeons which people have complained about much more visitor friendly... at least... [read more]

There has been some debate recently about the quality and power levels of crafted items versus that of quested or adventure obtained items. Crafted items were in some cases considerably more potent than their adventure obtained counterparts. Apparently the crafted items were not following the same rules as adventure items in regards to stat bonuses so they were adjusted. Greetings fellow necromancers and in particular greetings fellow dark elf necromancers. It seems that there is cause to celebrate!! The Dark Elf Racial Ability Flames of Haelifur had it's damage buff fixed in the last patch. This had not been announced openly but our hard working necro community tested it out and found there to be a notable damage increase in damage when the group is under the "pet's" influence.
