Vanguard offers custom title to fellowship breakers!

Greetings once again brothers and sisters of the darker arts of Telon. We seem to have a double dose of news from the Vanguard Players site this day. First the Featured Dungeon articles and now news of a contest of sorts.

Apparently Sigil has gotten around to fixing up the fellowship system and now has it on the test server. What is this fellowship thing you babble about Lifebane? ahh yes, glad you asked. The quick and dirty version of it is as follows:

A fellowship is a group that up to 6 people can join that is a persistent linking of the 6 players xp earnings. Any xp earned by any of the members is divided amongst the members of the fellowship. This is true if members are online or offline. While this is a great way to try to keep a group of friends all at the same pace of leveling, it does tend to put the burden on those who play more often since they will be earning more than their fair share of the xp needed for all of the fellowship members to level.

No, this does not take the place of a group. You can join a group while still within your secret stealthy ninja fellowship group. This will not impact the "group" you joined xp at all. Only your share of the group xp will be impacted by your existing fellowship membership.

Here is the official info as posted on the Vanguard Players site:

"Fellowships are a method for you and your friends to gain experience for each other, even when some of you are offline.

Features
- All experience you earn is split amongst the members of the fellowship, even members who are offline.
- When you are in debt or have lost experience, your experience will be devoted to repaying your debt/loss before you resume contributing to the fellowship.
- Fellowships are completely independent from groups; you can be a member of both at the same time.

Limitations
- Fellowships can have a maximum of six members.
- You must be within five levels of every member of the fellowship in order to join.
- You must be within a few meters distance to invite a player to your fellowship.
- If you leave your fellowship or are removed, you may not join another one for four hours of online played time.
- Members who are offline do not receive their experience until they log on. (Be careful when using the system to level up rarely-played characters, as their skills will fall behind, thus they will be very weak for their levels!)

Getting Started
Interested in creating a fellowship? Simply target your friend, right click your defensive target window, and select "Invite to Fellowship." You may then administer the fellowship from the social window (default key 'O') "Fellowship" tab."

Groovy sounding isn't? It is definitely not for everyone but die hard friends at least can use this as an alternative method of staying close enough in levels to be able to group later on. Ah yes, the title of this post mentioned a custom title didn't it?

Since this is currently live on test server only for testing purposes (Duh), Sigil has offered to give 3 players who go to test and try out the system custom titles for their characters on the live server. Generous of them right? Well there is that little thing about THREE players, so how do you get to be selected as one of the three? Quite simply break their fellowship system and tell them about it. The official contest custom title dealio is as follows:

"Win a Custom Title
Here is your chance to win a custom title of your choosing! The fellowship system is now on the Test Server and we would like to invite players to come break it for us. In fact, for the first three reproducible bugs sent to testing@sigilgames.com, the submitting player will get to choose a title for their character on a LIVE server. Chosen titles must be appropriate and in accordance to the naming policy, of course, but other than that – it is all up to you!"

There you have it folks. What it is, what it's for, and how to get yourself pretty much any title you want for your character... "Lifebane the Lord of Wenching"... I kind of like the sound of that.
