As incredible as it may seem, we have yet another bug update/patch for Vanguard! Some class specific changes this time around which is a nice change since some of these bugs have been around a looong time. Hats off to SOE for finally giving this game some much needed attention, now stay on it!
All Vanguard servers will be brought down Wednesday morning, 08/24/11 at 4:00 am Pacific, for updating. The estimated downtime is six hours.

WOWZER! The dev's over at SOE working on Vanguard (yes apparently there are one or two) have released a bug patch! Read below for details! Could this be a sign of updates actually being done and coming down the pipeline for this game? Players have been waiting for a mighty long time to see something done in exchange for their monthly subscriptions. Hopefully this is the start of something good.

Fixed a crash related to merchants.
/itemuse will now work on items that are equipped.
Faction costs that increased due to the increased faction gains should now be back to their normal amounts.

Its been a long time waiting, but now gaining pota faction will be x3 faster than before! All +50s around Telon rejoice!
Randolph has also regained his flying powers and should keep them forever! He may fly slower than molasses, but its gotta be faster than running!

Since many of you are still trying to grind your way to buying the high end lvl 50 faction mounts I saw this list and thought it a great reference to have handy. It is a list by level range of where to find the named monsters that will drop the platinum coins. Please let me know if any of it is inaccurate, thanks!

Silius posted a list of changes that have been pushed to the test server. The highlights of this would be the introduction of fishing... yes fishing like you'd see in pretty much every MMO out there had finallly arrived in Telon! Perhaps the more interesting change is allowing additional class race combinations than were available before. Great opportunity to run back home and start a new goblin and choose a class that was denied to you before! A curious way... [read more]

Soe still has their Harvest Day events running where you can get some fun illusion items, get a umm. bird leg, or try out one of the new raid events specific to this Harvest Day celebration. Here is the latest PR from SOE for this:
